Living in Great Neck
The peninsula is water on three sides, so weekend life is boats, the First Landing trails and the oceanfront ten minutes east. Recent sales were zoned across four elementary schools, John B. Dey, Alanton, Trantwood and King's Grant, with Great Neck Middle or Lynnhaven Middle and, for most, Frank W. Cox High; zoning here genuinely changes block to block, so confirm by address. The biggest watch item is jet noise. NAS Oceana is about three miles away, and 40 of the 57 recently sold homes sat inside a contour, including 16 in the loudest band above 75 dB. Great Neck is two markets.
