About Corporate Landing Elementary School

Corporate Landing Elementary School is a public elementary school in the Virginia Beach City Public Schools division, located at 1590 Corporate Landing Parkway in the southern part of Virginia Beach, Virginia. The school opened in 1993; its first principal was Bill Skaggs, followed over the years by Richard Sidone, Dave French, Ben Gillikin, and Kelly Coon. For a seven-year period (2002-2009) the school operated on a year-round calendar before returning to a traditional schedule.

The school serves students in grades PK through 5 and, in addition to its general education program, provides specialized instruction for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. It sits within a suburban residential area of southeastern Virginia Beach near Corporate Landing Parkway, and feeds into Corporate Landing Middle School within the same division.
