Daily life runs on foot and by bike along the sand and the Shore Drive restaurants. Pleasure House Point's natural area and the Lynnhaven Inlet are at the west end, First Landing State Park is across the bridge, and the base gate is about two miles away. Recent sales were zoned to Hermitage Elementary, Great Neck Middle and Frank W. Cox High; confirm zoning by address. The neighborhood sits in evacuation Zone C for nearly every recently sold home, and only one of the 46 was in a FEMA high-risk flood zone, which surprises buyers who assume beachfront means floodplain.
