Green Run Homes for Sale in Virginia Beach, VA
Green Run is a planned community from the 1970s and early 1980s in ZIP 23453, laid out between Lynnhaven Parkway, Holland Road and Rosemont Road. It is one of the larger neighborhoods in the city by sales: 108 homes closed in the last two years, split almost evenly between detached houses and townhomes or condos. Nine in ten of those homes were built between 1972 and 1984, so the housing stock is consistent, mostly ranches and two-story colonials on lots around a seventh of an acre, with the townhomes grouped in their own sections. A canal and pond system threads through the neighborhood, and about one sale in ten was on the water.

Living in Green Run
Green Run is a family-friendly neighborhood where errands stay close: Lynnhaven Mall, the Rosemont and Holland Road shopping strips, and the Princess Anne athletic complex are each a few minutes away. Recent sales were zoned to Rosemont, Parkway, Green Run and Landstown elementary schools, to Larkspur or Landstown middle, and to Green Run or Landstown high; confirm zoning by address, since the neighborhood straddles two high-school zones. NAS Oceana is about four miles east, and 23 of 108 recent sales sat in a jet-noise contour, mostly the 65 to 70 dB band. The whole neighborhood is in evacuation Zone C, and none of the recently sold homes was in a FEMA high-risk flood zone.
Green Run is an HOA neighborhood: 96 percent of recent sales reported an association, and the homes association fee ran about $45 a month in those closings, with condo sections paying more.
