Thalia Elementary School opened in 1956 in the Thalia area of Virginia Beach, Virginia, with Phillip Meekins as its first principal. The school originally served students in grades K-2 and has since grown into a PK-5 elementary school within Virginia Beach City Public Schools. It is located at 421 Thalia Road, along the Thalia River.

The campus sits on the Thalia River and, according to the school, includes a student-accessible dock used for ecology and ecosystem learning. The school operates under an approach it calls "The Eagle Way," and its mascot is the Eagles.
