About Kingston Elementary School

Kingston Elementary School opened in 1965 as a 29-classroom building in the Kings Grant area of Virginia Beach, Virginia. A kindergarten program was added in 1973, and the school was recognized as a U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon School in 1989 and again in 1996. Building additions over the years included a gymnasium (1990) and an expanded office, library, computer lab, kindergarten rooms, and multipurpose room (1996).

The school serves students in grades PK through 5 as part of Virginia Beach City Public Schools. It sits at 3532 Kings Grant Road in a residential section of western Virginia Beach and has been fully accredited under the Virginia Standards of Learning since 1998.
