About Great Neck Middle School
Great Neck Middle School is a public middle school (grades 6-8) in the Virginia Beach City Public Schools division, located at 1848 N Great Neck Road in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The school opened in 1983 as a junior high serving grades 7 and 8, and in 1993 it became a comprehensive middle school with the addition of grade 6. The current facility opened to students and staff in January 2012.
The school sits in the Great Neck area of Virginia Beach, a largely residential part of the city near the Lynnhaven area. NCES classifies the setting as a large city. Great Neck Middle was recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School in 2015.
