About Luxford Elementary School

Luxford Elementary School opened in 1961 on 12.7 acres of former dairy farmland in Virginia Beach, built to serve the newly completed Aragona Village housing development. It originally opened with 31 classrooms, 36 teachers, and roughly 1,243 students in grades 1-6. A major renovation and addition was carried out from 2000 to 2002.
