About Linkhorn Park Elementary School

Linkhorn Park Elementary is a public elementary school in the Virginia Beach City Public Schools division, serving grades PK through 5. The school first opened for the 1955-1956 school year, located about a quarter mile east of the Hilltop area of Virginia Beach, with an initial enrollment of roughly 600 students. It is named for the nearby Linkhorn Park area and Linkhorn Bay.

The school later moved into a newly constructed building at 977 First Colonial Road, which was dedicated on December 7, 1999. As of the 2024-2025 school year it enrolled 514 students and was rated Fully Accredited by the Virginia Department of Education for 2025-2026. The campus sits in a large-city locale within the First Colonial corridor of Virginia Beach.
