About Arrowhead Elementary School

Arrowhead Elementary School is a public school in the Virginia Beach City Public Schools division, located at 5549 Susquehanna Drive in the Kempsville area of Virginia Beach, Virginia. The school opened in 1964, one year after the City of Virginia Beach was formed, and at the time was among the largest elementary schools in the city, originally serving roughly 952 students in grades 1-7.

In November 2004, after about two years of construction, the school moved into a newly built facility on the same grounds. Today Arrowhead serves students in prekindergarten through grade 5 and is fully accredited by the Virginia Department of Education.
