About Kiln Creek Elementary School

Kiln Creek Elementary School opened in 1991 as part of Newport News City Public Schools. It takes its name from the Kiln Creek planned residential community that surrounds it, which spans the border of Newport News and Yorktown in the Peninsula region of Hampton Roads, Virginia.

The campus sits within the Kiln Creek development, south of Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport and northeast of Interstate 64. The school serves students from pre-kindergarten through grade 5 and enrolls roughly 550 students.
