About St. Helena Elementary
St. Helena Elementary School is a public PK-5 school in the Norfolk City Public Schools division, located at 903 S. Main St. in Norfolk, Virginia. It serves roughly 230 students and is led by principal Angel Robinson. The school identifies with the Panthers as its mascot and the motto "Home of Panther Pride."
The school sits in the St. Helena section of Norfolk's greater Berkley area, on the south side of the Eastern Branch of the Elizabeth River. The name traces to the former St. Helena Training Station, a naval facility later absorbed into Naval Station Norfolk. Berkley began as colonial-era land grants to the Herbert family in the mid-1600s, was incorporated as an independent town in 1890, and was annexed by the City of Norfolk on January 1, 1906.
