Sewells Point Elementary School is a public PK-5 school in the Norfolk City Public Schools division, located at 7928 Hampton Boulevard in the Sewells Point section of Norfolk, Virginia. Ground was broken for the school on October 20, 1965, and it opened in September 1966 to serve children of military families living in the Ben Morrell Navy housing complex. The original building held twenty-two classrooms and was fully air-conditioned with a sunken courtyard; a six-classroom kindergarten annex was added in 1984.
The school sits on the Sewells Point peninsula near the mouth of Hampton Roads, an area dominated by Naval Station Norfolk, the world's largest naval base. As of the 2024-2025 school year the school enrolled 495 students across grades PK through 5 and was Fully Accredited by the Virginia Department of Education.
