George W. Carver Intermediate School is a public school in the Chesapeake City Public Schools division serving grades 3-5 at 2601 Broad Street in the South Norfolk section of Chesapeake, Virginia. It is named for the scientist and educator George Washington Carver. The 2601 Broad Street site has a long educational history: a George Washington Carver High School, a school for Black students during the segregation era, is documented at this address as early as the mid-1950s, before the city of Chesapeake was formed in 1963 through the merger of Norfolk County and the former city of South Norfolk.
