About Grassfield High School Governor's STEM Academy
Grassfield High School opened in 2007 in the Grassfield area of southern Chesapeake, Virginia, built by Chesapeake City Public Schools to relieve overcrowding at Deep Creek, Great Bridge, and Hickory high schools. It serves grades 9-12 and its teams are known as the Grizzlies, with school colors of red, white, and navy blue. The campus is located at 2007 Grizzly Trail in a rural-fringe setting on the city's south side.
The Governor's STEM Academy at Grassfield High School is a state-designated STEM program operated as a school-within-a-school, offering specialized science, technology, engineering, and mathematics coursework and career pathways to interested students.
