About King's Fork High School

King's Fork High School opened in 2003 in northwestern Suffolk, Virginia, built by Suffolk City Public Schools during a period of residential growth in the western Hampton Roads area. It was designed by the architectural firm Ripley Rodriguez Maddox Motley and sits on a large campus at 351 Kings Fork Road that includes an auditorium, black box theater, athletic stadium, and multiple sports fields.

Part of Suffolk City Public Schools, the school serves grades 9-12 and draws students from the King's Fork, Crittenden, and Hobson areas as well as neighborhoods near Nansemond Parkway. Its feeder schools are King's Fork Middle School and John F. Kennedy Middle School. Academic offerings include an International Baccalaureate program (added 2008-09), Advanced Placement courses, and dual enrollment through Paul D. Camp Community College and Tidewater Community College.
