About Smithfield Middle School
Smithfield Middle School moved into its current building on Turner Drive in 2005. Isle of Wight County Schools' own history of Westside Elementary records that the former Westside facility "became Westside once again in 2005 with the opening of a new Smithfield Middle School," marking the year the present campus opened.
