About Carrsville Elementary School
Carrsville Elementary School serves the Carrsville community in the southwestern part of Isle of Wight County, Virginia, from a campus on Carrsville Highway (U.S. Route 58). The school grounds sit on land that local historians identify as lying between Union and Confederate lines during Civil War fighting in the area in 1863. Tara W. Outland, a longtime Suffolk Public Schools educator and Carrsville resident, was appointed principal effective July 1, 2023, and the school received a secure entrance vestibule as part of division-wide security upgrades that same year.
