About Georgie D. Tyler Middle School
Georgie D. Tyler Middle School opened in late summer 2014 as a new building for Isle of Wight County Public Schools, taking the place of the former Windsor Middle School. The school is named for Georgie D. Tyler, an educator who served Isle of Wight County for more than 30 years; an earlier Georgie D. Tyler high school in the county also carried her name.
Today the school serves grades 6 through 8 in the Town of Windsor at 23320 N. Court St., one of two middle schools in the division. NCES reports 368 students and about 32 full-time teachers for 2024-2025, and the school is Fully Accredited for 2025-2026. Its teams and clubs compete as the Titans in blue and silver.
