About Manor High School
Manor High School is a public high school in Portsmouth, Virginia, that opened in 1972. Its name was drawn from two adjacent communities, Hodges Manor and Elizabeth Manor. In 1993 the school was consolidated with other Portsmouth schools and renamed Woodrow Wilson High School, a name it carried until the Portsmouth School Board voted (8-1, December 3, 2020) to restore the original Manor name effective July 1, 2021.
The school serves grades 9-12 within Portsmouth City Public Schools and competes in the Virginia High School League (Class 3, Region A, Eastern District). Its teams are the Mustangs, with school colors of red, black, and white. The campus at 1401 Elmhurst Lane sits in a small-city residential area of Portsmouth in the Hampton Roads region of southeastern Virginia.
